One could argue that former All My Children star Michael B. Jordan (ex-Reggie Montgomery) has his eye on the tiger, having landed a slew of big-budget, high-profile roles since leaving Pine Valley in 2006. And his latest role isn't one to mess with, either: He'll be starring opposite Sylvester Stallone in the latest Rocky film, titled Creed.
Jordan is set to play Adonis Johnson Creed, the son of Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) who travels to Philadelphia and requests that the now-retired Rocky Balboa (Stallone) train him in the art of boxing.
Written and directed by Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogler and co-written by Aaron Covington, Creed is the seventh film in the Rocky franchise. It also stars Tessa Thompson, Tony Bellow and Graham McTavish (of no relation to former AMC writer Megan McTavish).
Fans can look forward to the film hitting theaters on Wednesday, November 25.
What do you think about Jordan playing the role of Apollo Creed's son in this new Rocky film? Does it seem he'll fit in with the franchise? Share your thoughts in the Comments section below, on our message boards, or by submitting Feedback.
