Soap opera weddings are usually full of surprises, but the folks at The Bold and the Beautiful went above and beyond for the marriage between Thorsten Kaye's Ridge and Linsey Godfrey's Caroline. The on-screen couple tied the knot in a beautiful private ceremony during the Monday, September 14, episode -- and promptly surprised fans by showing up during the show's first ever pop-up fan event in New York City, which suddenly turned into the fictional couple's wedding reception!

Before the surprise was unveiled (pun intended), several unsuspecting B&B lovers were gathered together at the Marriott Marquis Hotel on Monday and given the chance to watch the special wedding episode together. After the viewing, the fans were stunned to see "Ridge" and "Caroline" (Kaye and Godfrey) burst through the door, wearing the same clothes they'd just been wearing on-screen. But that's not all that happened. Suddenly, the casual fan event turned into Ridge and Caroline's wedding reception, complete with real-life toasts, a first dance, a wedding cake, and a bouquet toss.

We get the feeling that the event, which also featured Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), John McCook (Eric), Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy), and Pierson Fode (Thomas), is one B&B fans will be talking about for years to come.
