Hot on the heels of the news that Patsy Peace and Charles Shaughnessy are likely returning as Kimberly and Shane Donovan to help usher exiting star Jen Lilley (Theresa Donovan) off the canvas later this year comes word that Kassie DePaiva is also heading back to Salem as Theresa's sister, Eve.
An item posted to the popular DAYS site Jason 47 over the weekend states that the One Life to Live alum, who was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress for the role at this year's Daytime Emmy Awards, will also be coming back to the show later this year. Neither the series nor the actress has confirmed the news, but DePaiva's former OLTL costar, Robin Strasser (ex-Dorian Lord) addressed the news with a tweet that reads, "OUR DAYS JUST GOT HAPPIER! Congrats to #DOOL & the many fans of @KassieDepaiva I'm one of them. XOXOX"
There no word yet on what brings Eve back to town (though most seem to believe it is tied to Lilley's exit) or the length of her stay, but many fans of the character would love to see her stick around long term, considering many were flabbergasted when DePaiva was written off the show earlier this year.
