Scores of General Hospital fans are gobsmacked about a casting item that recently leaked from the ABC soap opera: Rebecca (Hayden Barnes) has been let go -- yet again.
The beloved daytime actress originally joined GH in 2015 and was written out of story in 2017, much to fans' chagrin. She returned to the show in July to lots of fanfare, even though Hayden did the dastardly deed of concealing her pregnancy and resulting daughter from the baby's father, Finn (Michael Easton). The character has since revealed that little Violet (Jophielle Love) is his child, which has been quite the bombshell for Finn to digest.
News of 's upcoming exit was confirmed by her GH co-star, William deVry (Julian Jerome), who answered a question via Twitter about whether or not Hayden is leaving again. His response: "Yep. She's awesome."

reportedly filmed her final GH scenes in late October, meaning her on-screen exit will likely be happening soon. As was the case the last time Hayden left Port Charles, the door will reportedly be left open for the character's return. And, as was also the case last time, there's plenty of storyline still left to explore. After Hayden returned to Port Charles this summer, she was quickly linked to Jax (Ingo Rademacher) and a Cassadine family mystery; she reconciled with her sister, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst); and she found out that her ex-husband Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) is alive and back in Port Charles. Any one of those things -- as well as her complicated relationship with Finn -- could bring Hayden back to the canvas.
got her start in soap operas in 1995 playing Michelle Bauer on Guiding Light. She played the legacy GL character until 1998 then later went on to originate the role of All My Children's Greenlee Smythe, which she played from 1999 to 2005 and again from 2008 to 2011.
