After five years of hearing Alistair, now we get to see what he looks like. Frankly, I'm not impressed. We've always known Alistair is a horrible man, but really, his attempted rape of Katherine is going overboard. I really didn't need to see him groping Kathy and muttering how much he's missed her breasts. And this obsession with her turning her face back to the way it was before her nip tuck is lunacy. I guess the "Blair Witch" theory is true, what you don't see is scarier than what you do see, and Alistair was much scarier before we saw him. However, I cannot wait for him to reveal the true identity of Kathy and Marty.
Marty may get outted before he's ready. Poor Pilar recognized him, and promptly fainted. And finally we have a Lopez-Fitzgerald that uses her brain for good. Paloma quickly realized "Bob Wheeler" knew just a little too much about the Crane grounds and called him on it. Marty stuttered and stammered and lucked up, managing to talk himself out of it, but Paloma's got a good head on her shoulders and knows all isn't as it seems. And the look on her face was priceless when Pilar called "Bob" Martin. Then Pilar keeps insisting how much Bob looks like Martin. Well duh, all he had was some rhinoplasty (nose job). It's not as if anything else, including his VOICE, changed.
Poor Paloma. She is welcomed home, and her family really is happy to see her, but she just doesn't buy it. And I don't blame her. They are all living in a mansion crawling with servants and wearing top of the line clothes. From the beginning of the show, it has been bashed over our heads how poor the Lo-Fitz's are, yet here is Luis jetting off the Mexico and Theresa wearing designer clothes. Where is this money coming from, especially since none of them are working? And if someone like Alistair kept torturing my family, I wouldn't move in his house.
Whitney was almost unbearable to watch this week. A few weeks back I alluded to Whitney pulling a Theresa-like stunt and here it is. Last week, Whitney worried about an abortion sending her to hell. Amazing how this week, she is planning to lie and scheme and isn't the least bit worried about going to hell for that. And I agree with you Yoldyve, and good doctor will be able to tell how far along Whitney is and it won't match up with the timing of her seduction of Fox.
Fox (Justin is back YAY!) tells Chad he's been in love with Whitney for a while now, and a fight breaks out. Julian blaming Fox's being in love with Whitney and causing pain for she and Chad was absurd. It's a bit of the pot calling the kettle black because Julian's feelings for Eve started all this pain.
And Theresa trying to convince Chad to get on with his life was like Pilar trying to convince Theresa to leave Ethan alone. He just won't hear of it. Does he honestly expect Whitney to not move on with her life? Is she supposed to crawl up in a convent somewhere and never look at another man again. I know his wounds are fresh, but he needs to realize Whitney is going to move on with her life eventually. At least one of Eve's children isn't interested in committing incest.
Luis and Sheridan were as boring this week as normal. I guess it's great for their fans, but I am not one of them, so they bore me. I gave up on Luis and Sheridan when they were dancing with masks on and the "soul mates" didn't recognize each other or even feel anything. Why now, like six months later, is pieces of the Crane jet that Antonio was on, washing up on shore? And how can they be absolutely sure it was the Crane jet?
Some Random Thoughts:
I LOVE Sam's new haircut. I wondered who the hottie was, and when I realized it was him, he had my full attention.
The vote is split between who is right and who is wrong in the whole Theresa/Gwen debacle. If you feel Gwen is right, then you agree with me on all the reasons. But if you think Theresa is right, you need your head examined - just kidding. All of you have very valid points as far as Theresa being right goes, mainly Rebecca and Gwen exposing Ethan's true paternity. But I stand firm in my belief that Ethan and Gwen were childhood sweethearts and had their future planned out when Theresa lied and schemed to split them up. If love is real and true, then it will find a way to be without all the lies and deceit.
As a side note, I receive a lot of emails from you dear fans asking me to tell the writers this or that. I in no way, shape, or form have any affiliation with the writers of this show. Believe me, if I had that kind of influence, you'd be watching a much different show.
And I am going to stand on my soapbox for a minute. The first of three Presidential debates aired Thursday night. I implore you, if you are not registered to vote, please register and please vote. You owe it to yourself and your country to make an informed decision on election day and elect the candidate you feel will be the most effective leader of our country.
Good luck to LSU and Kasey Kahne.
Until next week friends,
Brandi
